The IJIS Institute seeks to unite industry and government in the establishment, support and improvement of national information-sharing solutions. The CJIS Advisory Committee helps to promote that objective by bringing together industry leaders and government practitioners who develop, support and manage criminal justice information sharing initiatives at the federal, state, and national levels. Specifically, the Committee will evaluate proposed CJIS initiatives, identify opportunities for new or improved information-sharing standards, and develop white papers and other guidance. The IJIS CJIS Advisory Committee will promote partnerships and foster open dialog between Industry and key practitioner organizations that represent federal and state information-sharing initiatives.
